As a mom, wife, eldest daughter, caregiver, and a Black woman, I understand the importance of mental health and wellbeing from both a personal and professional perspective. I am passionate about helping individuals – both adults and children (ages 4 and up) – tap into their own healing power and discover their path to mental wealth. My goal is to support you in navigating life experiences, transitions, grief, loss, and identity exploration with empathy, strength, and grace. I believe in the power of a safe, brave, and affirming space where individuals can feel heard, understood, and empowered. Drawing on a variety of therapeutic modalities, I work collaboratively with you to meet your unique needs. My approach is integrative and holistic, combining evidence-based practices with a deep respect for the whole person – mind, body, and spirit.

Some of the modalities I incorporate in therapy include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Strengths-Focused Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and Play Therapy. I earned my B.S. in Psychology from the University of Houston - Clear Lake and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Houston Christian University. I have cultivated a deep passion for counseling through an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed approach, shaped by my experience working at community-based agencies where I supported individuals and families in navigating complex challenges. This experience reinforced my belief in recognizing diverse experiences, authentically supporting communities and promoting justice. I look forward todoing what works best for YOU!
